About the event
Every summer Rokka skiers get together for a bike ride on the family-friendly Sammamish River Trail.
This scenic trail is safe, easy and level.
Ride fast or slow, it doesn’t matter.
All ages welcome, so are friends of Rokka!
RSVP appreciated and optional.
When Sunday June 25
Where 8383 158th Ave NE, Redmond
Four-story office building adjacent to the Sammamish River Trail.
Meet at the large parking lot on the south side of the building.
Time Meet around 11:00, finish about 2:00
Route From Redmond to Bothell and back along the beautiful paved Sammamish River Trail, about 12 miles round trip. There are rest stops along the way.
Ride Type All ages, level paved bike path. Ride at your own pace. Kids are especially welcome!
Bring Bike, helmet, windbreaker, eye protection, sunscreen, lunch, water.
Lunch Go across over the arched pedestrian bridge when you get to Bothell. The bridge crosses the river and will be on your right. Meet at the park on the other side. Break for a picnic lunch while we trade ski stories and what we’re doing to overcome ski withdrawal symptoms!
Biking is a great way to develop agility, balance, endurance, and leg strength so important for skiing. It's also loads of fun with friends and family!
