Rokka bikers enjoyed a perfect day for riding, with sunshine and a comfortable 

70 degrees. Meeting in Redmond adjacent to the beautiful Sammamish River Trail were Thom and Bev Ikeda, Bill Dunbar, Mune Fukuda, and Vic Kihara. Bev set a nice steady pace to Bothell City Park, where we gathered for a picnic. 

Chris Wong biked from Kenmore and met us at the picnic. Nancy Kitano drove from Bellevue to join us. A wonderful surprise was to see Joe and Tanya McCormick at the picnic. They were visiting Seattle from their new home in Utah. We all had fun catching up, telling stories, and planning for skiing next season.  

We invited Joe and Tanya to join us for next season’s Rokka Academy, so here’s 

hoping they can make it. 

On the ride home, Bev had to make a last-minute maneuver to avoid a kid on an

e-bike.  She ended up scraping her knee but avoided anything more serious due

to her expert bike handling. 

We all had a great time and welcome Rokka members and their friends for next

year’s ride. If you don’t want to bike, join us for the picnic. It’s a lot of fun and 

a good chance to connect with your Rokka friends.
